Park & Recreation Planning & Design

The Comprehensive Recreation Plan commonly referred to as the "Five Year Plan" is based upon the State of Michigan's Department of Natural Resources requirements to allow communities to qualify for state funding. L.A.P. is very familiar with this process having developed plans and grant applications for a multitude of public park projects for more than 30 years and having prepared plans and applications for the State of Michigan who also applies to the federal government. Our ability to understand the state's requirements and package you project competitively is the key to our success.

In addition, L.A.P. provides innovative park designs. We have a broad range of completed projects including: trail projects, boardwalks, overlooks, docks, shoreline protection, wetland creation, restrooms, parking lots, park roads, festival grounds, outdoor amphitheaters, water fountains, seating areas, detention ponds, sports fields, ice rinks, tennis courts, playgrounds, plazas, memorials, learning gardens, landscape displays, formal and native gardens, shelters, gazebos, pergolas, picnic areas, campgrounds and other outdoor recreation amenities.
